Brightmere Council carries out its formal democratic business through Full Council and the other bodies established by its constitution.
Before a meeting
A meeting record should tell residents which council body is meeting, when the meeting takes place and what business is due to be considered. Agendas and reports are published where they are public and available for release.
Where a meeting allows public attendance, questions or another form of participation, the relevant meeting information gives the arrangements residents need to follow.
During and after a meeting
Councillors consider the business listed for the meeting and make decisions within the authority of that council body. Officers support the meeting by providing advice, reports and democratic-services administration.
Afterwards, minutes and decision information are added to the democratic record once they have been produced and are suitable for publication.
